Okay, so I've been wanting to build one of these forever and I finally had time during J-term. Now I'll have this one at my desk when I return to school for the spring semester next week!

. I realized about halfway through the project that having the wings spread like that was going to give me a lot of grief and that I could have saved myself a lot of trouble by closing the wings, but oh well. They took forever to air-dry into that position, so I eventually resorted to using a hair dryer.
As frustrating as the wings were, building the rest of the bird was fun and kept me entertained for hours. Yep, hours. Deidara made his in about 5 seconds. Cheater.
Made with white Prang air-drying clay, black acrylic paint, several toothpicks, a thin paintbrush, a pocket knife, and a hair dryer.
The design was created by Masashi Kishimoto.
